My Bikes

Kawasaki KR1 250 '89

This was my second brand new bike and I thought this was the dogs danglies very very fast and handling to boot. I changed the front sprocket soon after I bought it to increase torque backup in top gear. I had this one on the floor too but not my fault a contractor reversed his van into it and it was never the same when it came back. Was a real shame as apart from my GSX-R750WS this was the best bike I've had without question.

I bought this bike in 1996 for the bargain price of £1600. The little light weight was a little rocket up to 120mph but was really thirsty on the juice. The bike was a minter which swayed me into buying it. I might still have it now but I trashed it going into a righthander . There was some tractor shit sitting there in the road with some stones and I hit the biggest stone there was wiping out my front end . So I was offered silly money to part exchange it for the CBR so I took them up on the offer.

I bought this grey import in 1996 and I loved it and some swine stole it from me some people have some bottle as it was parked out the back of my house but I was out at the time and of course no one saw anything. Ok it's not a two  stroke but it sure revs like one 14,500rpm redline and handling to match I saw 130mph on the speedo on the odd occasion. Fuel economy was excellent anywhere from 45-65mpg was easy.

I had an ART carbon fiber end can and a HRC carb kit for it on the dyno it managed 56bhp and revved much harder than stock. It revved a lot harder than my friends NC30 and more responsive and his to has the same kit and pipe fitted although his was faster than mine in a straight line.
