I also have a Yamaha RD125LC mk1 that I'm doing a nut and bolt rebuild on. The crank was rebuilt by Harry Barlow a renowned quick RD tuner. It was rebuilt using a TZR125 conrod and an RD500 bigend bearing. Making it fit was easy enough he machined some of the crank web to allow the wider conrod to fit in. The top end is an Autisa Big Bore kit 170cc using an ART Blaster piston for reliability. It will also be breathed on by Mick Abbey who will also be making a pipe to suit. I'm hoping for a reliable 30+bhp at the rear wheel which should be well within reach. The Paintwork was done by my mate Spud and he has done a cracking job of it too. But people be warned we used Plasti-Kote on the engine and I spent £30 on this paint. It looks great but to my peril I found out this super enamel paint isn't petrol or oil resistant..AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH...so now I have to repaint it. Here is a predicted shot of what my bike will look like.
